Letters to Landon: Month 4

I have heard from quite a few people that things just get easier and easier once you pass 3 months and I would have to agree. You are so fun now because you constantly smile and coo and are hardly ever in a bad mood. You’re really settling into a nighttime routine and definitely let us know that you are ready for bed by 9 pm, sometimes we can even get you into bed by 8:30, which I thought would NEVER happen! And now you only wake up once in the night, between 2 and 3 am for a quick feed and then right back to sleep til 7 am, ahhhhhh, it’s so nice. Especially now that your Dada can get up with you on the weekends and let Mama enjoy a couple full nights of sleep.

You’re such a busy little boy, you love to be constantly moving, which I always had a feeling that you would be by the way you were constantly stretching and pushing your legs against my belly while you were still on the inside. Your jump-a-roo is your new favorite activity now that your toes touch the floor. It’s pretty comical to watch you jump on your tippy toes and make funny faces.

(sorry for the sideways video, I have to try and remember to stop turning the camera that way)

Playing with “the baby in the mirror” is a fun game too, that entertains you while I get ready after a shower. You smile and laugh and stare at yourself, I’m anxious to see when you finally figure out that you’re actually looking at your own reflection.

Were going to try again with the swimming thing this weekend, right now if I put your feet in the baby pool/dog water bowl in the backyard, you stick out that lower lip and start to cry because you don’t even like cold water to only touch your feet, so I’m betting we wont have much luck again, but I’m really hoping to be able to take you to the outdoor pool sometime this summer, plus were taking a trip to a lake in Tennessee next month so you have got to get used to less than lukewarm temperature water, son. Man up a little, for God’s sake, you’re FOUR MONTHS OLD!! Hehe, just kidding…..

Love,

Mama
